What will you learn in an LPN training program? Licensed practical nurses (LPN) or licensed vocational nurses (LVN) are trained to provide basic bedside care to patients under the supervision of doctors and registered nurses. What Do LPN's Do?
LPNs are trained to take a patient’s vital signs (temperature, blood pressure, height, weight, pulse), give injections, administer medications, and dress wounds.

LPNs may also be responsible for doing routine laboratory work and collecting samples from patients. Some LPNs also assist in the deliver and care of infants.

How Do you Become An LPN?
Becoming an LPN can happen in as little as one year. To become an LPN you will need to accomplish the following:
1. Have a High School Diploma or GED
2. Graduate from an accredited LPN training program
3. Pass the National Council Licensure Exam
